Peter Michael Dowd, Writer & Co-Creator

Peter escaped the ivory tower of the museum world, where as a curator he organized film retrospectives, wore the required black-rimmed glasses, and even ashamedly uttered words like “Kubrickian” to emerge somewhat unscathed as an comedy writer/director/performer. He recently completed the short documentary “The King of Size,” a portrait of a 40-year old bodybuilder’s seventeen-year, injury-plagued quest to reclaim his title as “Mr. New York.” Peter is currently producing and starring in the profanity-laden web series “Beyond the Mass Pike.” The show chronicles the rise and mostly fall of two Boston Cable Access “reporters” stranded in Hollywood, covering such “major news events” as AdultCon and the capture of Boston gangland icon Whitey Bulger. Peter is training in the Groundlings School, and moving through the Sketch and Improv programs of the Upright Citizens Brigade.
